Guided Cemetery Tour & Ceremonial Planting
Step back in time and immerse yourself in Cold Spring’s history with a guided cemetery walk through the scenic Cold Spring Cemetery. Led by Amy Campanaro, Gunn Memorial Library Museum Curator and former director of Brewster’s Southeast Museum, this unique experience will uncover the stories of prominent figures like Julia L. Butterfield, Emily and Washington Roebling, Gouverneur Kemble, and Robert Parker Parrott. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the Butterfield Mausoleum. **PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY AT 11 AM**
After the guided cemetery walk, join the Butterfield Library and Putnam History Museum back at the Julia L. Butterfield Memorial Library for a tree planting dedication and small public reception. The Philipstown Garden Club has generously organized a ceremonial tree
planting in honor of Julia Butterfield, accompanied by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque. Distinguished local government officials will also be in attendance.
