Stories from the Landing: PHM’s Annual Lawn Party
The Putnam History Museum Board invites you to join us along Garrison’s Landing on Saturday, June 10th at 4:30 pm, for an evening of stories, community, and riverfront views at this year’s Annual Lawn Party.
Throughout the festive evening, the PHM will take you through centuries of local history in short talks and a mini-history crawl. We’ll share stories about: the Wappinger, the earliest inhabitants of Garrison; the area’s role in the American Revolution; major transportation advancements of the 20th century that impacted the Landing; and the iconic filming of Hello, Dolly! Plus, enjoy early 1900s jazz by the Todd Londagin Quintet and golden hour views.
Supporter and sponsor level guests will also have the opportunity to have a private tour of select spaces and artifacts on Garrison’s Landing (3:30 pm) followed by a champagne toast, recognition in the program and event webpages, and at the Clermont level, a beautiful historic print.
